Hi there,

Spreading the word of our next monthly ceilidh, live music and morris dance extravaganza Folk Of The Wood (www.folkofthewood.co.uk) on Friday 17th Oct - flyer attached.

This time we'll be welcoming back country / americana band No Coward Soul (ncsoul.tumblr.com) starring Alaskan Brad Schmauss with a mix of accordion, mandolin and sweet old time grooves. Also very excited to be showcasing morris dance legends Northwood Morris (www.northwoodmorris.co.uk) throwing some ancient shapes to the freshest jigs this side of the Cronx. There will also be three lively ceilidh dancing sets courtesy of Ceilidh Tree (?Londons finest ceilidh band? - Evening Standard) www.ceilidhtree.co.uk with blazing fiddles playing stomping scottish and irish folk tunes for dancing and a masterful caller to whip you into a willow shaped frenzy!

There'll be a fully licensed bar with craft ale, scrumpy, wine and food will be by fab local deli Beamish & McGlue providing tasty organic meat / veggie & gluten free stews, soup and cakes to keep you reeling!

Full details and tickets at www.folkofthewood.co.uk Tickets are cheaper before 10th October: ?6 adults, ?4 concessions, on the door (if available) ?8 / ?5 - book online

    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
    • Crikey. How did you know it was Immigration Enforcement?
    • Saying cyclists are the most antisocial people in London isn't helpful.  Nor is the Standard referring to cyclists as lycra clad louts  Yes we can have an adult conversation.  But emotive knee jerk nonsense is not going to achieve this and just plays into the hands of those wanting a manufactured culture war
