Don't forget on Wednesdays we now have a separate toddler and baby class.

From January onwards I'll be leading a regular Friday story time session at the wonderful Peckham Pelican at 11am. To find out more about this, drop me a line at [email protected] and I can add you to our mailing list.

Just a reminder that we're on tomorrow morning for songs, stories and cello tunes! Both sessions will be similar, with the tale of Boris the Bird and the Magical Thingummy Wotsit but the first session is aimed for older, more active toddlers, and the second for younger ages!

Drop in and join us - don't forget to book if you're thinking of joining our Christmas parties next week, as there are only a couple of tickets left!

Thanks to all you lovely people for a great 2014 of Nimble Tales, including some very fun Christmas parties this week! Nimble HQ is closing for our Christmas break very soon, but just wanted to let you know our plans for 2015, plus I've attached our shiny new flyer for classes. From January onwards, the drop-in price will be ?6, BUT you can buy a 6 class-card (no expiry date, and choose whichever sessions you wish) for ?27 - ?4.50 per class. Classes next term will be:

Mondays 2pm: The Old Nuns Head (Nunhead Green) - mixed age class

Wednesdays: The Ivy House (Stuart Road)

10am - 3-5 year olds (younger siblings welcome)

11am - 0-2 year olds

Friday 11am: The Peckham Pelican - mixed age class

Full details, and you can also buy a class card at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421 (or simply purchase at a class)

PLUS we're trying out some arts and crafts classes aimed at parents/carers with pre-walking babies, led by the marvellous Hannah who runs the rather brilliant Art Market East Dulwich. These are advance booking only, and will be held in Nunhead on the 21st and 4th February, and are a chance to do something creative and learn a new skill, in a safe, baby-friendly atmosphere (including tea!). We'll put proper meets up for these in the new year, but you can find out more, and book your space at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=1033.

Lastly! If you'd like to join our mailing list to get updates about Nimble Tots classes (and we've got lots brewing for the new year...), just drop us a line at [email protected]

It's a tale of twitawoos this week, with a dozy owl who simply can't get back to sleep (I'm trying to use my own toddler's sleep problems for creative purposes!).

It'd be lovely to see you this week, drop in and join us at any of the sessions, it's ?6 drop in, or ?27 for a 6 class flexipass (no expiry date)

I've spent most of this evening juggling bits of website code, and you can now book in for any session, and pay online (if you'd like! Cash payment also fine) in advance at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421 - you can use this to book in for an individual session.

Drop ins are also welcome, but to make sure of your space, and as classes get busier (I'll put on here if any classes are looking like you need to book) just follow the link above.

If it doesn't look, give me a nudge - I haven't yet tested across all different browsers.

Hope to see many of you tomorrow for the second outing of Olivia the Owl - a story about how mums are almost always right, with a a bit of Belle and Sebastian and Bach in for good measure :) x

Don't forget it's week 2 of our new class at the lovely Peckham Pelican tomorrow! We're just opposite Oliver Goldsmith School, and near the South London Art Gallery. It's a great cafe/bar, with lots of space for toddlers and good simple bagel and soup lunch options.

It's our last outing for Olivia the sleep dodging Owl, we're going to be flying with scarves and cello music, dancing with bubbles and doing lots of shaking!

Drop in and join us, or use our sparkly new booking system to reserve a space...http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421 You can pay online or bring cash ?6 drop in (no extra for siblings) or buy a 6 session flexi class card.

This week's Nimble Tales, cello tunes, songs and stories for under 5s are all about Eric the Spider - when you're the new kid in town it's already tricky making friends, and when you've got 8 legs and a tendency to scuttle, it's even harder! Join us for music, bubbles and shakers as we try and help Eric out smile emoticon Our classes this week are:

Monday 19th Jan: 2pm, The Old Nuns Head (Nunhead Green) - all ages!

Wednesday 21st Jan: The Ivy House, 40 Stuart Road

10am - 3-5s (younger siblings welcome)

11am - 0-2s

**Special event - 21st Jan, 2pm, 'Crafternoon Tea' Drawing Class for parents with tiny tots, The Old Nuns Head (see more below)**

Friday 23rd Jan: The Peckham Pelican, all ages

For Nimble Tales, it's ?6 for drop ins, or buy a class card for ?27 for 6 credits (?4.50 per class), and you can use this at any Nimble Tales classes, including our Indiepop Tots disco in February. Drop in normally available, or you can book your place online at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421

For Crafternoon Tea, it's ?12, or use 2 stamps from your class card. This includes all materials, 1.5 hours of teaching in a relaxed, baby friendly environment. and a cuppa tea! Places need to be booked in advance so we know how much materials to bring, and are suitable for parents/carers with pre-walking babies.

There's still space to join us at the Peckham Pelican tomorrow at 11am for cello tunes, songs and a spidery story... We'll be at the back on the stage - don't be put off if you arrive early and it looks closed, the Pelican opens officially at 11am, but I'm normally in there setting up before this, so do come in and grab yourself a cuppa. x

This week we're revisiting one of my all time favourite Nimble Tales, Snorglepuff the ever-hungry monster! Drop in and join us tomorrow at 2pm at the Old Nuns Head, Nunhead Green for bubbles, cello tunes and a particularly silly tale of monsters with rumbling tummies...

My usual pre-Wednesday reminder! We're back at the mighty Old Nuns Head tomorrow, find us in the back room under the glitter ball, among the fairy lights! There's space at both the 10am (3-5s) and 11am (0-2s) to drop in and join us. Not very strict on ages, but the earlier class is livelier and more movement, and the 11am tends to be a bit quieter.

Come join us! x

    • It doesn't work as a commercial venture.  Bit churlish to say I told you so.  I told you so.  I'll send less greetings cards.  What pees me off is international postage where you can no longer send light letters at 10 grammes, normal ones up to 20g, now all at the much more expensive 100 g  Didn't we vote to take back control and price everything according to irrational units like ounces? That's some obscure humour btw
    • Available from Monday April 8th 2024, 2on2Walkies take pride in doggie care and only walk 2 furry friends at a time. I make sure that they get plenty of doggie interaction and socialisation in the park as well as making friends. Back home happy and tired I always check that the water bowl has fresh water and always make sure the doggie is left comfortable before I leave. I'm fully insured and have a couple of slots available for local walks to either Peckham Rye Park or Dulwich Park.  Thank you!
    • Why would they only send them recorded delivery? I used the signed for option yesterday.
    • > however I know I will have to prove it and provide a receipt,  both I can't provide. So what leads you to say that the dustmen have done damage to it?
