tummy training and Pelvic Floor Workshop - next week

Recommended Posts

Female urinary incontinence is widespread and affects 1 in 3 of women over the age of 35yrs. Up to 65% of stress-incontinent women say their problems began during or after pregnancy.

Prolapse is also a common problem for women of all ages; up to 50% of all women have an underlying type of vaginal prolapse in their lifetime usually following childbirth, menopause or hysterectomy.

We have had a great positive response from our previous workshops, the advice and practical workshop will provide the information and exercises that you need to help manage and hopefully resolve these symptoms.

The workshop is performed by a Specialist Women?s Health Physiotherapist (MCSP HPC) and Pilates Instructor (PilatesForm) and is suitable for women of all ages (ideally you should be 6 weeks postpartum), pre-crawling babies are welcome, it includes:

? Professional advice on pelvic floor recruitment and exercises.

? Advice and practical self assessment of the rectus diastasis abdominis (tummy gap).

? Practical self-assessment of your core abdominal muscles.

? Advice and practical sessions addressing core muscle strengthening and posture correction.
