Hi Everyone Upcoming art exhibition at Avent Gallery, North Cross Road SE22 9EU. 2/3/16 - 16/3/16, daily 10-16pm after we set up on 2/3 afternoon. Amazing abstract calligraphy pieces (mostly on paper, some on rusted metal) by fellow-artist Riaz Sanatian. I think they're stunning, and very very cool. My own oil paintings, check out www.davidhopkinspaintings.co.uk. This time I'm showing paintings of mobile phones, of fruit/veg, of studio objects. Strong rich colours, subtle compositions.

  Called them to rewire a fire alarm. They asked for a photo which I have sent as well as details of a spotlight that needed changing, I have no reply from them since even though I have sent WhatsApp messages trying to understand what the issue is.

  Are your neighbours also smelling it? If not, I had a similar issue years ago and found it was down to an emersion heater element failing and putting strain on the wiring, which had to be replaced. Hopefully you can track it down.

  Has anyone else been woken up by an acrid smoky smell in the early hours around CPR/Darrell Road? Has happened a couple of times in the past month, most recently this morning.
