Nimble Tots Storytelling with live music and songs for preschoolers!

Recommended Posts

This week it's another of my favourite ever Nimble Tales, Penelope the INCREDIBLY grumpy princess! We've got another small swap of days this week, as Holly will be leading her magical story-book inspired Nimble Adventures on Tuesday at Punk Me Up Cafe in East Dulwich (Boris will still be making an appearance though...), and I'll (Becky) will be telling Nimble Tales instead on Thursday afternoon at Nunhead Green. On Thursday morning at the Ivy House, we've another special guest, Mikey, leading the sessions! Mikey is a multi-instrumentalist, flute player and very experienced kids theatre maker (and great musician in his own right!), so you'll be in for a treat! Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be me as usual with cello and Nimble Tales!

If you're coming along, don't forget advanced booking is recommended (at www.nimbletots.co.uk) as we can sometimes get very busy, but drop ins are welcome if we do have space, which tends to be more the case with earlier classes. It's ?6 for first child, half price for siblings over one (siblings under 1 go free), and a wee bit cheaper if buy and use a 6-class flexicard (?33 for 6 classes). I'll update on Facebook the morning of classes with details of any drop in spaces available.

Don't forget that Thursday morning will have a very special guest for Nimble Tots at the Ivy House this week with multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter Mikey! Mikey has lots of experience writing and performing in children's theatre, running workshops and as a performing musician in his own right, so along with flute, guitar and bag of percussion, these workshops should be a real treat!

Classes tomorrow (Thursday) are at the Ivy House, 40 Stuart Road, Nunhead (plenty of parking usually available on the street outside)

9.45am: Mixed ages

10.35am: Mixed ages

11.30am: 0-18 months

You can book your spot in advance at www.nimbletots.co.uk or drop in and join us - ?6 per class, siblings over 1 half price (siblings under 1 go free)

See you tomorrow!

    • I can recommend John Hudson. I've been taking lessons with him since last year and he's very good. He teaches most styles. You can find his contact details on his website - https://www.johnhudsonguitar.co.uk/
    • Hello, I was carrying my sleeping toddler on Sunday afternoon (21st April) and must have been pretty distracted and dropped my jumper from my bag. Iwas walking from Crystal Palace and then getting the 363 to The Gardens near Peckham Rye Park. Somewhere I seemed to have lost my favourite green jumper - is bright green, cashmere, from John Lewis, in case anyone spots it. Thank you! (Have phoned the bus garage too).
    • And what would you suggest for cyclists that also flout the rules?  Crush their bikes at the same facility that crushes errant drivers cars ?  Same rules and punishment must  apply to all road users (except runaway horses of course)
    • I'm looking for a guitar teacher for my 17 year old son. In terms of music that he likes, he says he's interested in learning fingerpicking (although I guess he needs to learn the basics first!). He listens to quite a lot of acoustic guitar stuff as well as indie stuff, has a curious interest in Japanese pop and loves folk too. Ideally we would be looking for someone who could do one-to-one lessons at my flat, which is 5 minutes walk from Honor Oak tube station.
