Fancy a swimming challenge and a reason to get fitter?
I did the 4Km Indian Ocean swim a couple of years back, swimming 2Km straight out into the ocean and around the longest jetty in the Southern hemisphere - Busleton, W' Australia. I did this with 1,200 global swimmers.
** Asia to Europe **
This is actually easier than my Auz swim as its across the Hellespont in Turkey which links Asia to Europe. The distance is marginally over 1-mile and the shipping lane is blocked off once ayear for this.
** History of the swim **
Lord Byron undertook this swim in 1810, so you can add a bit of poetry and history to your event!
** Getting Ready **
I can train you online in this thread. I taugh and coached swimmers since I was 18, and now 51.
Maybe this thread 'subject' will be changed to.... 'East Dulwich swims from Asia to Europe'
