Sally Eva
A longer ride to Design Museum in its new location in Kensington. Starts at 9.30am instead of the usual 10am and ends at 1pm rather than 12noon. Starting place is the Park Life Cafe in Burgess Park, which is part of Chumleigh Gardens, off Albany Rd (SE5 0RJ). Return to the same place. This has changed from the original plans so if you knew what the plan was before, it's not now. Usual easy-paced ride using a route with plenty of paths and quiet streets - although there are a few busy stretches. Out via Kennington Park, Westminster Bridge and Hyde Park, including the new cycle lane along South Carriage Drive from Hyde Park Corner to Albert Memorial - marvellous! Back via Brompton Cemetery, Albert Bridge and Battersea Park. The leader will be Jane and the route is here: http://gb.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4497331.html. That's 16.46 miles or 694 kilocalories. Bruce's phone no is still 07729 279 945 and the ride is run by Southwark Cyclists https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk
