Zaad Dinner Club is going to host a Ramadan feasts on 10 June at Space at 61 in Nunhead

It will be Ramadan in June and I would like everyone to enjoy a festive dinner the likes of what my mum used to prepare for us at home! Big plates of food to share and plenty of family favourites to tackle your taste buds.

Spiced lentil soup with a spring onions chilli and a crunchy pine nuts and pitta crouton garnish

Carrot and parsley Mutabal

Prawn and Harrisa samosa / Aubergine and Harrisa samosa (v alternative)

Gazan spicy tomato and garlic salad

Ruz Hijazi, fragrant rice cooked with chickpeas sumac onions and spices

Chicken roasted with Zatar (a Middle Eastern wild thyme and sesame blend) / Zatar butternut squash (v alternative)

Chilled beetroot garlic and mint yogurt sauce

*The sweet finish

Attayef, a special festive pancake stuffed with walnuts and soaked in orange blossom syrup
