Overgrown olive trees

We have 2 beautiful olive trees in our garden that have completely overgrown the space available and we're starting to consider having them cut down and chipped. This seems a shame and we'd be happy to give them to anyone who wanted to take them away for replanting...they are both around 6 meters tall and in flourishing health.

Have you considered cutting the crown back hard( at the appropriate time) thereby significantly reducing the space the trees take up?

It could be pruned right back and would have to be to be transported anyway. Olive growers keep ancient trees at a certain size to promote fruiting and for accessibility.

I wish I could plant them in my garden, (I have the space) but would have trouble digging and transporting it... Is there anyone in the forum that could do the job for a reasonable charge and following the care instructions detailed above? Then I would be interested and could give them a new home.

Otherwise, I hope you will manage to rehome Them, it would be a pity to chopped them down.

Why plant a nice tree in the first place and then cut it down. This tree is over grown and would not grow once you have taken it up
