We are sadly selling our well loved vintage teacher's desk. It is very solid but has seen a lot of life and has the scuffs and marks to show for it. The wear and tear is actually quite nicely distributed and gives a nice patina so we liked it as it was but of course it could be restored. It is solid wood (possibly stained oak?) and has a leather top which is marked and crazed but intact. There are two drawers which slide nicely with brass cup shaped handles.

Width 121.5cm

  Are your neighbours also smelling it? If not, I had a similar issue years ago and found it was down to an emersion heater element failing and putting strain on the wiring, which had to be replaced. Hopefully you can track it down.

  Has anyone else been woken up by an acrid smoky smell in the early hours around CPR/Darrell Road? Has happened a couple of times in the past month, most recently this morning.

  I’ve donated several times. They operate all over london and I think usually it’s an opportunity for these kids. amazing to read the responses to this stuff. As someone has suggested go and have a chat next time
