Pet cat needs a new home

We're looking for a home for our cat - Arthur - basically I've become quite allergic to him and we can't have him around the house. If any of you are looking for a very friendly cat please let me know - also please feel free to pass on our details to anyone who might be interested. He loves humans but isn't so fond of other cats - so probably needs to live on his own.

Details:

We are looking for a home for our lovely black and white cat Arthur. We got him from the RSPCA about 9 years ago. He?s a very affectionate and entertaining lap cat and has been great with our kids from babyhood and beyond. We are not sure how old he is, probably around 13, but he is still spritely! We are devastated to let Arthur go but unfortunately Caswell has developed an allergy to cats and it?s making him really ill. Anyone who is interested is very welcome to come over and meet Arthur first. We can give you all our cat related equipment. He's fully up to date on his injections and has a cute wonky 'smile' as he had a couple of rotten teeth removed. He's used to having a garden to go out into so isn't really suited to just indoor life. If you?re interested reply or message me. And please can you circulate on, we urgently need to find a home for him.

Celia Hammond in Lewisham may be able to put you in touch with some potential families.

Have you spoken to your GP about this, as there are great treatments for pet allergies that may help with the symptoms and let you keep your boy.

Thanks bcam - yes I think I might have to get in touch with Celia Hammond trust, good suggestion. Re. the GP - I'm afraid I've already been down that route for the last few years. The allergy has a gradually got worse so that antihistamines etc are no longer sufficiently effective to continue. I'd hoped to out last him but it looks like that's not going to happen.

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
