How do I add a weblink into a post?

Hello, I can't see how to add a web hyperlink into a post! Please advise, thanks.

Use the URL tag...

[ur1=http://blah.com]Text explaining the link[/ur1]

Which looks like

Text explaining the link

(don't copy/paste that - I used a number 1 instead of an 'L' to stop the forum software converting it.)

The simplest way is to just copy and paste the URL, from your browser's address bar if you're viewing the page, or from a quoted link on a page. By doing this the initial http colon stroke stroke bit will be included. If it's not there add it manually.

When you preview or post, the Phorum software sees a 'word' starting with http... etc and automatically converts it into a clickable link. I usually check that it appears as such in the Preview pane, and that the link actually works, before posting.
