Fair enough. I can see I'm hardly at the heady heights of your expertise.

It's a slightly odd feeling when you finally have some bragging rights over your local rivals but don't feel the urge to gloat.

Now you know the feeling we Gooners (generally) carry over Spurs

It's all warm, lovely and we keep it to ourselves

Enjoy, it won't last.

I see your last game at The Lane is against us, as was the Hammer's. How come there hasn't been much publicity about this being the last season there? Last season it was Boleyn this, Upton Park that. Or was that all part of The Branding?...

Today is a great day, let's see how the rest unfold

Well done Spuds

Possibly because Spurs have only just confirmed in the past few days that'll we'll definitely be playing at Wembley next season. Spurs playing West Ham at the Tax Payer's Stadium on Friday night should be a cracker. Our third London derby in a row... or fourth if you include Watford.

Not sure why the uncertainty, TV showed an aerial view of the new and old grounds, and it doesn't look like the new stadium can be finished without first knocking down WHL. Anyways, a very dominant performance by Spurs. Too soon to say if there's a power shift in North London, but Spurs definitely have the better team right now, both on and off the pitch.
Another disappointing home draw for us, think we should just concentrate on the EL and forget about top 4...

The move to Wembley for Spurts couldn't be coming at a worse time - just as they get some momentum going they have to play 'there'. I think it's gonna hurt.

messageRe: Football Focus
Posted by Jah Lush 01 May, 2017 14:18

Depends how you look at it. I think we can take the momentum there with us. We just have to remain positive and keep playing the way we are and the results will come.

Celtic fans know how you feel. Probably because it was only 5-1 and only 36 points. Noone likes to see that.

Even I was a bit embarrassed by the coverage we got, but wasn't practically everything else (relegation/Champions/Champions league etc) settled by then so the media had a bit of an overkill? - the club also produced some decent 'content' (yuk) in terms of films etc - pity they aren't as good at buying players sad smiley

PS Plus a little bit of old school shenanigans to finish the day off - not sure Spurs will get 20,000- 30,000 showing up without tickets but just to say goodbye

I don't think we'll stop your momentum this year to be honest - of course if we hadn't conceded 2 goals in the last 2 minutes at WHL both of our seasons would be over now whereas we both need a result!

Bring back Sam.

Are Spurs leaving WHL for good or returning after rebuild?

Brand New Stadium, but right next door.

We're building around the old ground and will be back at the beginning of the 2018/19 season.

Good stuff - still on roughly the same spot (and in that case I can understand there not being a huge good bye)

Fair play. That's your little cup final won. And you deserved to win. No complaints here. We were never going to win the league anyway but I suspect we'll still finish second. And if you'd said to me at the beginning of the season you'll finish second I'd have bitten your hand off. As Arsenal fans were always keen to remind us - "mind the gap."

I hope for Spurs fans that they don't end up another Liverpool. Always the bridesmaid, several second or third places, but choke (or literally slip) at the key moments.

messageRe: Football Focus
Posted by red devil 06 May, 2017 13:43

Next season is key, especially with the stadium transition. If they have another trophyless season with Wembleyitus, then the Kane's and Alli's will start looking elsewehere, regardless of contracts. I still think they need an experienced leader/talisman in the middle of the park to get them 'over the line'...

messageRe: Football Focus

they could also do without West Ham away in the last couple of weeks of the season if history is anything to go by smiling smiley
