Ha!

So, full early football memories:

First match I remember seeing on TV was the 81 Cup Final. It's why I'm a Tottenham fan today.

The following season (81/82) my dad took me to the Lane for the first and second times. Notts County and Sunderland.

I think it was that season that my friend's dad took us to an England U21 match at Brisbane Road. I think against Poland. And I remember the England keeper making a penalty save.

Same season, I also remember being in the car coming home from somewhere with my Dad, listening to the second leg of the Cup Winners Cup semi-final against Barcelona on the radio. We lost.

Same season again, I remember being disappointed that I couldn't watch the League Cup Final against Liverpool on TV as it was a friend's birthday party. My Mum picked me up afterwards and said, "I've got bad news... Tottenham 1.....(i thought she meant 'won' and cheered)...Liverpool 3. sad.gif Sad times.

Same season again, I remember Hoddle scoring in the FA Cup Final and then Terry Fenwick equalising late, before beating them in the Thursday night replay.

That was a good season. Fourth in the league, above Arsenal on goal difference, an FA Cup Win, League Cup Final and Cup Winners Cup Semi.

Actually, 1982 was also the first World Cup I can recall watching. I remember sitting on the sofa with the decorators and my Dad watching the Italy 3 Brazil 2 Paolo Rossi hat-trick game.

The UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Juventus will be made available for anyone to live stream for free on BTSport.com and the BT Sport app or watch on TV with BT Sport Showcase (Freeview channel 115).

Looking forward to this, should be a really fascinating game of two contrasting styles. Everyone knows how well Juve are organised defensively, but they look good going forward too. Dybala is a clever striker and I fancy him to nick the winner..

Liverpool look like they are considering 60m for Van Dijk. Steven Gerrard now says that should have bought him straight from Celtic. But of course many think Celtic players need a practice run out with Southampton first before being considered for the bigger teams.

Van Dijk, Wanyama and Forster were all a steal for Southampton. And the truth is if they can hold their own in the Champions League with Celtic its pretty obvious they can probably manage in the overrated EPL. All three have shown that to be the case.

Prices are getting ridiculous, 100m for Lukaku, what does that make Kane?...

For those that missed it, England's under-20 side are into the final of the World Cup in South Korea on Sunday. First time any England men's team has made a world final since 1966.

Since there's a lot of rubbish news around at the moment I thought it was worth highlighting, and hopefully good news for the senior side in a few years (assuming any of them can get a game in the EPL!).

Gutted for Corbyn. First he loses the election then his beloved Venezuala lose the U20 World Cup Final. And to his arch enemies England

Lost in the brouhaha of last Friday's election results, the transfer window officially opened. So football comrades (and Quids), what positions/players do you think your club needs to buy in/get rid of etc?

For MUFC I would like to see a decent centre half (looks like we're signing Lindelof from Benfica, no idea if he's any good or not), a long term replacement for Carrick (Tony Kroos would be nice Santa), and a couple of strikers who know where the back of net is. Would like Kane but that ain't going to happen, Morata from Madrid looking a done deal but not sure he a 20-25 goal a season striker. Wouldn't mind seeing Chicarito return...

I like the look of the some the young Ajax players that did so well in Europe last season. Klaasen would be a steal in midfield. I'd certainly like a little more creativity in midfield to challenge Ericksen and another centre-forward though Dembele from Celtic would be nice I reckon he's headed elsewhere. I also think Spurs need that one player that's been there and done it in Europe with that extra bit of experience that we need. Not sure who yet, someone that all the players would be able to look up to and be inspired by... so not John Terry then. winking smiley

Dembele is a good shout. Mourinho likes his strikers in the Drogba mould and Dembele is certainly that...

Lukaku is that type of player but for some reason I'm not convinced by him. Whoever is on Jose's list will do for me.

I see Everton have signed Klassen!

Linfield v Celtic on the 11/12th of July. If Linfield overcome their San Marino opponents police would like this potential fixture played on the 11th.........to minimise trouble. If they want to do it properly why not go down the the Boyne for a few hours?

Oops! I completely forget...Demarai Gray. I'd really like to see him at Spurs next season. Definitely fits the profile for our club. A talented young English player. Skilful and with bags of pace, and pace is a little something we're missing at the moment in our side. Probably cost a lot more than he would have at the beginning of last season but a terrific young talent in the making and improving all the time. Scored a terrific goal tonight for the Under-21s.

A lot of talk pre-Under-21 tournament about how England players such as Kane, Alli and Rashford should drop down and play in order to get experience of tournaments and hopefully gain a much needed winning mentality. Meanwhile, Germany sends their under-20 squad to the tournament and wins it, whilst their Under-21's win the Confederation Cup, whilst their first-team squad suns it up on the beaches. Deutschland ber alles...

I'm guessing Mick is keeping quiet about Rangers humiliation last night, as Celtic had their own hiccup last season against the minnows of Gibraltar. So in his absence let me say to the tune of The Billy Boys...

Yes - that's funny RD - liked Gary Linekar's tweet too.

And more importantly : Celtic push for a review of the competitive/sporting advantage achieved by Rangers through their tax dodging

We note todays decision by the Supreme Court. Celtics position on this issue has been consistent - that this has always been a matter for the courts of law and also the Scottish football authorities, whose rules are intended to uphold sporting integrity.

In 2013, we expressed surprise - shared by many observers and supporters of the game - over the findings of the SPL Commission that no competitive or sporting advantage had resulted. Todays decision only re-affirms that view.

We are sure now that the footballing authorities in Scotland will wish to review this matter. Celtic awaits the outcome of their review.
