Anyone know what's happened with rendel, his account has been deactivated/closed...

Really. I'd noticed his unusual absence in this thread. Something must have pee'd him off elsewhere.

Yep, probably something personal rather than on the forum...

So will their be a world cup predictor game smiling smiley

Warm ups are in August and Wales seem to be playing England and Ireland home and away - not sure if England and Ireland play each other making a mini competition.

I'm sure there will be a WC game.

Ireland do play England but just in Twickenham.

I actually meant on a different thread.

I've just read the road closure thread - I think it must have been something to do with that one. Shame, I rather liked Rendel even though we used to disagree on stuff and he could sometimes be pretty rude if you did disagree with him. I think he maybe just got carried away a bit sometimes (as we all do).

There is indeed. I'll set a pool up nearer the time. I think previous participants will be sent an automatic invitation.

I've set up another Pool and those of you who have played previously should receive invitations to join. I may have sent 2 to some people by mistake.

Anyone who would like to play is welcome to join. Just set up a 'free' Superbru account and search for this pool. This is the website:

I'll have a look at any rule changes, but for newcomers, you just predict match scores and score points based on how close you are to the result.

PS Although the game is broken down into rounds, it would appear there is not a bonus point for getting all the results right (what in other previous games was called a Grand Slam Point).

I have missed out on a margin point by a single point in the last two matches. Got the score within 6 points and got nout for my nous.

I may expel Mima08 as s/he appears to have stopped playing and it would only deny someone else winning the wooden spoon.

URGENT UPDATE......so to speak

Two games have so far been cancelled this week-end, England v France and New Zealand v Italy. This is due to possible extreme weather conditions as you probably know already, if you are reading this thread.

I don't know how Superbru will deal with this, but suggest that if you haven't locked your picks you put them down as draws. The games will be considered to have been 0-0 draws.

Scotland v Japan is another one that might go the same way.
