I've booked four redeliveries in the last couple of weeks and they've all come on the promised day. Might just be lucky though!

I had a parcel recently and it was the same delivery driver that's been coming for at least 10 years

Haven't seen any of the original postmen though- and some of them had been delivering to my house for at least 15 years

why our posties have been redeployed rather than continuing their original walks but what do I know

The original walks were all optimised to start and finish at Sylvester Road (obviously) - the new walks are in pairs (so two posties can travel together in one van with their mail from Peckham) - and no longer need to be optimised to start and return to the sorting office on foot. Hence they have changed. I am hoping that the delivery staff will stabilise eventually, but it seems that there are still too many vacancies for permanent routes to be stuck to, days are missed out on walks so that everyone can get a few deliveries in the week. I've yet to receive a credit card bill which should have been sent on the 9th. Luckily I have an ap so I have discovered what the bill is and can pay it in time, otherwise I would have hit interest city. Still a mess.

Yesterday I had all my neighbour's post delivered to me.

Today I got a letter for a different road (same number as mine). When I returned it to the postie, he said "The machine does it".

Do they not look at what they are putting through the letter box???

What worries me is where some of my post may be ending up.

I assumed it was somewhere in the black hole which appears to be the mail system round here at the moment, but now I'm thinking .... what if it's being delivered to empty houses? Or houses with people who can't be bothered to repost wrongly delivered items?

I'm still waiting for a gift card which was sent out in October (it's been cancelled and I've received the replacement, but where is the original?)

It's all very well if you know something has been posted to you and you haven't received it, but what about the things you aren't expecting?

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
