Deposit for school

My son received a secondary school place offer today, but I couldn't see anything in the letter about paying the deposit. Does anyone know how you do that?

Really? Since when did you have to pay a deposit to secure a school space?

It was a good few ago when my big ones went on school..... Seems things have changed since then

I think it's private schools - this old telegraph article says some parents pay multiple deposits wow !
