Miserable git is one thing, no one would mind that. Damaging and unfounded comments abut a new business, quite another.

But as foxy himself has explained, he has resolved any ‘issue’ there may have been, and it is not relevant to the current discussion about when this restaurant will be opening.

I'm sure DulwichFox is able to speak for himself!

Yes he is. But it does feel like people are ganging up on him for no reason Sue.

I don’t think people are ganging up on him for no reason. I am sorry he is ill but he did voice some incorrect assumptions that could have been very damaging to a business. I think some people just want him to say a simple “sorry”. That’s all.

This need to say sorry is ridiculous when the business opens its food will speak for itself not some months old comment made by somebody on the forum. Close the thread - it had no point now.

When Saucy first opened several people on here criticised them for the music being too loud and could be heard across the road.
This was explained as being down to new staff by the team and it would be sorted.
No one had a go at those people for their comments.

Soon after Saucy closed and it was the owners themselves that said they had a problem with their electrics.
It wasn't me. I just queried why this wasn't addressed / doubled checked before they opened.
It was not a criticism. It was just a few folk on here that made it look that way. Usual suspects.

The whole thing was blown up out of all proportions.

That is the True facts of the matter. No need for any apology. I did nothing wrong.

Fine.

Pointless supposition. Not fine.

Fine.

Ignorant, inaccurate and potentially damaging. Not fine.

Hope that helps.

And you spent time searching back through posts. Pathetic.

Yep!

I could see from his earlier post that poor DF was struggling to see what had p*ssed so many people off!

Obviously a very bored person.....

I agree with an earlier comment that this thread serves no purpose any more.
Hopefully 'Saucy" will announce in the 'buisiness'section when they are actually reopening and then everyone can judge the place for themselves and post accordingly under a new heading.
This thread no longer serves its purpose and has become a personal attack upon someone with a lot of horrendous health problems who stated that he had actually been in direct contact with the owners.
it really is time to move on and look forward to the restaurant's hopefully imminent opening.

Thanks NV, for clarifying what I’ve already said.

You think what he said was ok?

Absolute nonsense - one does not excuse the other at all and the blatant refusal at anything which resembles an apology is just childish and immature!

I think you and Alice should skip back to Wonderland... :0))

Admin - this thread has become a vehicle solely for personal abuse and ad hominem attacks. Could it be closed? Or moved or locked? Maybe when Saucy is really going to re-open as a going concern it could announce so on a new thread, in the Business section? I wish it well (as apparently does everyone who has posted on this thread, even those more sanguine about culpability regarding its very extended 'almost opening').

I don’t think expecting someone to apologise after they suggested a business is taking “short cuts’ is a personal attack. I appreciate DF is ill but a simple “sorry” would put it to bed. I think it was his initial damaging statement and then stubbornness to apologise that has irked many people.

Wow peeps. I just wondered when it was opening !

Please everyone just stop this now. Forcing someone to apologise for your own entertainment, when it has been resolved as foxy has said. Very sad.

Louisa.

Yep, this thread is really horrible and not telling anyone about Saucy...

Apologies, I'm a bit late in on this one but obviously it's been Lounged now.

Please go easy on each other.

If someone won't apologise on the forum then probably best to make your assumption or judgement and move on. For different reasons we all have different views and as Confucius probably said "simply banging on and on about it won't change anyone's mind".

Fair enough, Admin.

Could you also clarify that ignorant and damaging conjecture about new businesses won't be tolerated?

I’m sure Saucy already glad to be opening a restaurant in this area

If this thread was being viewed by a stranger thinking of moving to East Dulwich, I'm sure they would instantly change their minds.
