Bob Buzzard
Does the Chesse Block sell craft butter? I just read an article in the Guardian about small batches of craft butter which people spread on artisan bread - it sounds lush - much nicer than that President butter from Normandy. womanofdulwich
I think it's quite easy to make a small amount yourself. Lots of shaking involved.
ed_pete
Chesse ? You should ask for a refund on your school fees Bob.
malumbu
I understand that Herne Hill Farmers Market now has organic buffalo butter, they keep the animials in a paddock in Brockwell park and you are allowed to hand milk them and churn your own product. Absolute delish. There are plans to introduce alpacas next.
Abe_froeman
I like alpacas but I couldn't eat a whole one.

fishbiscuits
I know you're taking the piss, but General Store (Bellenden Rd) and Mons cheesemongers both sell good butter.
TheArtfulDogger
You can get a butter maker in a kilner jar that involves adding cream and lots of hand cranking Sounds fun and you also get butter milk as a by product, great for making your own bread with to spread your own home made butter on

malumbu
Gentle fun, not malicious - I leave that to others. You can get buffalo butter, not sure about alpaca though. I expect a hand churned product is very expensive, You'll probably get it in an agritourism type place in Italy, Croatia and the like. I miss the tart yogurt of my childhood - commercially produced but very different. Returning to Brockwell Park there is of course the country fair, https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/events/lambeth-country-showGood to get away from Brexit for a few moments. cn150
You could try the new butcher's in Dulwich Village - I see they will be selling cheese in addition to meat, so they might do craft butter as well.
lavender27
Do you feel like a complete shit when you see people sleeping on the streets in doorways and all you can think of is where to get your craft butter to spread on your "artisan" ******* bread.
