I have been reading NHS webpage on hair dye reactions, and henna tattoos, I will not be dying my hair again.
Has anyone had a bad reaction to hair dye?
Link above.

You are always supposed to do a patch test before using any hair dye.

It always says so on the packet/in the instructions.

If you don't do that, you dye your hair at your own risk, I guess.

I dyed my hair pink as a teenager. Had a horrible reaction.

My mum threw me out the house.

My 11yr old got some henna at a market in Yorkshire.
She used it to make a large pattern on her leg which looked great.
She also did a big one on the back of my hand.
Both of our patterns started to sting after some time and when we applied cold water too wash them off it stung even more my daughter was in tears and we had to very carefully remove the hardened Henna.
Turns out we were using black henna.
Basically donít use black henna!
