Getting from Gatwick to Herne hill at night

Hi any suggestions for the best way to get back from Gatwick to Herne Hill, our flight gets in at 10:45pm and we only have hand luggage but can?t see a direct route from Victoria to Herne hill at that time.

Might be a bus from Camberwell to Herne Hill or cab. ???

37 goes from Clapham Junction to Herne Hill, and I think it runs all night.

Why have all that late-night hassle? Just jump in a taxi and relax. Traffic shouldn't be too bad at that time.

Why not take the southeastern train direct to Herne hill from Victoria, which stops at Brixton first. Go every 25 mins except Sundays?

You could go onto Norwood Juction as slightly closer and a min cab firm there. Black cabs from Croydon are pretty expensive.
