Think youve claimed that honour. You think you're always entitled to the last word maybe. Again, the tinies with their sense of entitlement.

I agree - it needs to go. Admin?

No Cella, it does not need to go. You need to stop trying to end the discussion others were having before engaging in a tit for tat that you seem hell bend on keeping going. Let the rest of us have a discussion if we want. You don't have to engage with it.

messageRe: Who to vote for?

Think the general tone has morphed into ranting. By it's title it presumably has served its purpose? By continuing to exist it's just serving the tinies in the main to keep up the ranting. So, we've all voted (or maybe not). Think if any if the rantees on here started a thread that indicated what they really wanted to spout then it would get shut down very quickly. There is little of the discussion you crave.

Thankfully most of those on here are not in the tinies.

Still you too will have a sore head when "teach" bangs it together with the other kids on here

Best way to kill a thread is by not posting on it and others will soon do the same

Sometimes true ... but personally, like others, can't stand by and let the racists etc have their day in court uncontested. We are in for the prospect of 5 years of this.

Not the challenges to bad attitudes or mine indeed that you should be decrying - thought Greens were meant to be more tolerant?

messageRe: Who to vote for?

Don’t tell me what I should be decrying, very dictatorial and intolerant. More Momentum cliche. Dont understand the Green reference.

messageRe: Who to vote for?

Whether you’re a Momentum supporter or not, your style of “discussion” comes straight out of their playbook. Anyway, as you think that having the last word means you’ve won the argument, I shall give you this opportunity as I will not be posting again on this thread. As has been pointed out already, the only way this thread will close is if people, including yourself, stop posting on it - it takes more than making petulant demands to Admin.

You're right. It's only 'other people' who rant on here.....

Perhaps you take your own advice and start a thread to speak about whatever the heck you want, and stop interjecting in this one.....

Let’s add a little misogyny and objectification to the thread. I mean really, it’s what it’s been missing.

Better still, how about adding a song from In the woods, whilst we await her last word on the thread

She'll be back.
Next to me, who is he?
She'll be back.
She'll be back.

She's a fool.
She just thinks she'll be free,
We shall see.
Free is one thing she never will be.
Every place that she goes,
Every face, every rose,
Everything that she does,
She'll remember what was
And she'll want to come home.
She'll be back.
You'll be back!
If there's one thing I know,
You'll be back.
She'll be back.
She'll be back.
She's just eager to grow.
She's just young.
By tomorrow or so,
Or as long as it takes.
Let her go,
Let her make her mistakes.
I don't care what she thinks about me!
Just as long as she thinks about me.
When she thinks of the good times we had,
Not the bad,
She'll be back.
I can wait.
She'll be back.

Just a matter of when,
Till the day we're the way we were then.
Once she knows who she is,
What she's done,
What it's cost,
What she's lost.
Once she sees having him she has nothing.
Once her dreams turn to dust,
And she knows who to trust,
She'll be back.
She'll be back.
I'll be here.
She'll be back.
She'll be back.

Here’s a recipe for Plum Puffs

Ingredients

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup plum preserves
Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425° F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and brush paper lightly with water.
Combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a small bowl. Place water and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low and add the flour mixture. Mix well and continuously until a soft choux dough forms and pulls away from the side of the pan.
Remove the pan from the heat. Add one egg and beat until the mixture is smooth (see note). Add the second egg and beat again until smooth.
Drop teaspoons of the choux dough onto the baking sheet at 2 inches apart. (The puffs will double in size while baking.) Use a wet finger to smooth any peaks.
Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Do not open the oven during baking.
Remove the puffs from the oven and turn the heat off. Close the oven door. With a toothpick, poke a hole in each puff to release the steam.
Return the puffs to the warm oven for 5 minutes.
Remove the puffs from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Use a serrated knife to carefully split each puff in half. Fill the bottom portion with a spoonful of plum preserves and replace the cap.
Arrange puffs on a platter and sprinkle confectioners’ sugar over the top. Best served immediately to hungry bosom friends. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days or frozen for longer.
Notes

Use a wooden spoon or spatula to beat in the eggs, or transfer the mixture to a stand mixer with a paddle attachment.

I don’t know most people on this thread

I wish we could just go back to blaming “cliques”

Simpler times

My tuppence: The thread is the thread. Points were raised. They remain of interest to enough people. Calling for the thread to be closed down is misguided. Threads die when people lose interest and move on. As it should be

The lady speaks for a group called Momentum,
That uses the hammer and sickle emblem,
She’s quick to react,
To each written fact
- a sign that the truth torments them.

No assumption involved - given that you signed off one of your posts as "Marcella". And asked about an appointment with a manicurist and pedicurist.

The lady doth make false accusations,
She never resists the temptations
She dishes it out
With never a doubt
Can only be a sign of frustrations.

Going back to the subject of the thread , my vote is for RLB. She was such a perceptive and precocious 2 year old!

Momentum do not have any flag to be fair, and while many old time militant types are drawn to it, many more are other members are not old enough to remember who Militant were. Lansman imposed the rule that to be a member of Momentum, you also had to be a member of the Labour Party, precisely to try and keep out those old time expelled members. Some local groups ignored the rule. Momentum is a bit more diverse than those on the outside realise. It is certainly not stuffed with Stalinists but nor is it a truly democratic organisation either. That is the problem. And that is why it is easy for militant types to power grab in the way they have.

messageRe: Who to vote for?

Lansman might have kept out the old Militant Tendency mob but they were discredited already and past their SBD. But by insisting that Momentum comrades had to be members of Labour then that just legitimised them and give them licence to infiltrate Labour from within. They started by stitching up the NEC.
It's called Entryism and has been a classic Marxist strategy for decades.

As for the Momentum identity, they have a dedicated logo/icon/flag identity which his different from Labour's.
