So are you or are you not a stalker?

Stalking is a requirement when hunting a large animal that is capable of rapidly evading the hunter. I don't, contrary to what you're surreptitiously implying, follow and harrass women over a sustained period of time. But tell me, cincinatti kid. Do you have anything of any relevance to add, other than childish distractions?

Sorry scribe I'm only messing with you.
Don't take me too seriously, I have a tendency to be a soppy bugger.

For a second I though this was another World of Warcraft thread winking smiley (I play a hunter char you see winking smiley ) I only hunt Pixels and data structures. Fired a 12 bore once with my dad when I was a LOT younger (and living in the countryside) never again. Had a bruised shoulder for over a week

Playing video games in adulthood - now that is truly "weird". A bit sad, even.

Sad? you need to get out more.. or perhaps stay in more ;)

Been on a number of hunts, my uncle is a Ghillie / Gamekeeper in Scotland and what he doesn't know about game hunting, fishing, culls etc probably isn't worth knowing.

so speaking from experience here. getting up at godawful o'clock and trudging though a cold wet heather covered moorland and squelching through knee deep peat bogs as a beater, so some toff from London (who's probably still hung over from a skin full of scotch from the night before) can shoot whatever you scare up / out ..

personally..

I'd rather sit at my computer desk and play games. Mild mannered mathematician computer programmer by day and crocodile dundee by night really isn't my scene.

your mileage may vary obviously winking smiley

Mr Twirly - I don't suppose he could sort me out with a day's fishing on the River Tweed, Tay or Dee per chance?

..I'd settle for a day's trolling for grayling on the upper reaches of the River Clyde..

I have not hunted in the area yet but would love to try. I am visiting the highlands. I usually read this article on the selection of necessary equipment. In general, I believe that the right set of tools, weapons and even clothes play an important factor in the pleasant performance of the hunt.
