We are looking for a black/brown cocker spaniel puppy, 0-3 years old.
Not interested in dog breeders.

Have you tried the rescue centres? There is Celia Hammond in Lewisham?
Not sure if they have this breed but worth a look maybe?
Good luck finding your new member of the family smiling smiley

Try Many Tears animal rescue, they have a lot of ex breeding cocker spaniel needing homes. They're based in Wales but foster and rehome all round the UK.

Foal farm ,Retreat animal rescue or pro dogs direct who tend to rehome dogs rescued from puppy farms. Lots of rescues with lots of various animls needing a home. X

You may find that reputable rescues do not allow adoption of animals during the xmas period because its the time of year that is very busy with either older dogs being dumped for a younger model or there is the influx of xmas puppies dumped after xmas and up until February because they have been bought without any thought of toilet training, chewing and training classes and the new owners think the puppies will train themselves. If anyone is really serious about commiting to a puppy/young dog then waiting a few months will not hurt.

This is in no way directed at the op but it is something to think about at this time of year.

We are adopting a spaniel puppy from a Sussex charity in January. Private message me if you want details as they had others (rescuing from Portugal).

Agree with Mscrawthew. (Also, any reputable breeder will not let puppies go until after January.)

Well done for adopting - and good luck with your new family member smiling smiley
