I think it depends on how much grey you have etc. I used to do mine at home but the bottom of hair really held on to the colour and after a few times it didn't look great. I now go to gms by the station and see Donna (there is one particular hairdresser there I would tell you to avoid for a colour so pm me if you want info). I think they call it express colour art and I have to say my most recent colour I am super happy with it. X

I've dyed my own hair for 20yrs. However, I liked my friends dye job done by a salon and decided to give it a go. I would recommend INOA dye. It's done by many salons including Willis B on Lorship Lane. The reason it is good is because it replenishes rather than depletes your hair. It's decent colour but the conditioning is superior. Gives you really glossy colour.

I would say, if you are getting one colour, not highlights or any of that jazz, get anyone to do it. Don't pay for an expensive colour director. Anyone in the salon can do it.

Have you ever thought of using Natural Henna? It can be used to color your hair at home and at the same time it also helps prevent dandruff and nourishes your scalp and hair by making it smooth and healthy.

Currently, my hair color is Ashen Blonde (just like the 2nd image here: http://www.betrendsetter.com/hair-color-for-brown-eyes/) but I have used Henna before trying this color and result was really good. Perhaps, you can try once :-) After all, it's natural and doesn't have any side effect.

I'd agree if you want to do one colour try it yourself at home - mine is dark blonde/mousy brown naturally but I have had it highlighted since I was in my teens (LONG ago)... I do one myself now with a L'Oreal box and then go to a salon - agree GMs is always good and Mila & Davis on North Cross Rd are a lovely bunch :)

For an all-over colour to cover greys, I do mine at home. Maybe go to the salon a couple of times/year to get a decent job! I think the key with home dye jobs is to avoid the warmer colours because those tend to go orange over time. If I use a medium brown, mine comes out fine. Don't really notice a difference between getting it done in a salon. Depends what colour your hair is!

I also think that now there is no need to take risks. Especially at our age. Therefore, I began to do everything myself. Houses. So yesterday I found great short haircuts for older women and I hope that it will be useful to you too

Short grey hair looks especially chic and bold, and you can show it off whether you are 20 or 60. There are so many ways how you can wear it in 2021, and we have picked only the coolest. For example, try an asymmetrical cut for silver hair. Your look will seem much edgier and so young. Or, if your hair is naturally curly, you can opt for a curly silver short hair cut with a fringe. It looks very-very cute!

    • The alternative would be to let them free, to be predated on and without parents to teach them the necessities of survival. Clearly this is an unhelpful model of instruction, but, given the ducklings have been born and will not survive without parental care (unless they are hand reared in the school - which I doubt has the capacity of skill for this) then gassing them is the most 'humane' action. The school should perhaps have thought through what is the likely outcome for ducklings which are not being reared by either skilled farmers or ducks. I suspect that the duckings would not be saleable to farmers having been initially born and raised in circumstances which were not sterile for introduction into larger flocks.

    • Malumbu, by that measure are police efforts to cut down on anti-social driving by issuing tickets and fines a token effort as well? Surely punitive measures for cyclists breaking the rules will encourage them not to break the rules again? A bit like when you got stopped and taken into the cab of an HGV. The police are currently using that tactic to show those who break the rules cycling that it might lead them to being hit by a lorry due to the driver's having limited vision - the cycling equivalent of a speed awareness course for drivers.    When they stopped you was it because you had broken a rule or was it just more of an education programme and they asked you to take a look and did it change your cycling behaviour in any way? As I said previously there are those who break the rules on cycling out of ignorance (and those out of arrogance) and I am sure they are using HGVs to educate those in the ignorance category and then hitting those in the arrogance category with the PCNs.
