Where could a 14/15 year old boy volunteer round here?

We want to encourage our son to do some volunteering.

Ideally he'd like to help out with computers, graphic design, or art. But we'd be interested in anything.

Anyone know where a 14 year old could do some volunteering, without having to be accompanied by their parents? We're keen for him to learn social skills as well as working skills. He's a lovely young man, but has a bit of a tendency to stay in his room at the moment!
