Harris Boys ED - next OFSTED?

Just wondering whether Harris Boys might have another OFSTED inspection - does anyone know what happens with outstanding schools? I'm really impressed with what I've seen of the school and definitely considering it for my son in a couple of years but the ofsted report is from 2011. Is it likely to get reinspected any time soon?

In summary - no. The average interval between inspection for outstanding schools is longer than that. They are monitored in terms of results and if there is a fall in results from where they would be expected to be they could expect a visit from OFSTED, alternatively if there are complaints re safeguarding etc.

Basically outstanding schools are exempt from inspection until something happens to indicate they might not be 'oustanding' any more.

Ofsted are so hit and miss with their inspection dates and like to keep all providers on their toes! I do think that the OP has a point and an inspection from 2011 might differ from 7 years later, especially at a secondary school.

Then again, there are some providers in primary school education that have not had an Ofsted inspection for over 10 years.

    • Why not watch a video? I know it’s not the same but it saves such grotesque waste.
    • I have ordered from them and they do free delivery within a certain radius.  Have only had some of their vegetarian dishes which were all good including the onion bhajis that come with a very tasty spicy green sauce accompaniment.  Also, they start service from 1230 pm if you want lunch.
    • The bin outside Harris Primary School has been a spot for fly-tipping weekly. This is now a hazard for the children going to school every day - they have to walk over the rubbish to get into the school!  The rubbish has been there since Saturday, it is Tuesday 23 April today and nothing has been done! I've see a person who lives across the road dumping her house rubbish to into the bin but I believe it is not only her now but other people too!
