Desperate need of childcare

Recommended Posts

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we find ourselves in desperate need of childcare for our little boy (2yrs 8months).

I am going back to work for one day a week (probably Thursdays) starting next week and although my mother-in-law will look after our 9month old, it is too much for her to handle both children. Has anyone got any suggestions for childcare for my toddler? Obviously nurseries in the area have hefty waiting lists so I'm quite worried about options and any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi there

I've just seen your post and was about to advertise a space at my lovely private nursery which I run out of my Garden flat in a Victorian property on Marmora Road, SE22.

The entire property is given over to childminding and has the unique advantage of providing a home environment which has all the resources of a larger nursery including a range of play areas, nursery sized tables and chairs, separate cot room, 200ft garden and a 30 sqm purpose-built school room which has been equipped with toys, games and learning resources with all ages and abilities in mind. The property is protected by 7 ft security gates and a 6 ft wall surrounding the garden area.

The nursery is run by experienced and highly qualified staff and between us we have the necessary skills and expertise to ensure that your child receives the best level of care possible. We also understand the importance of providing a safe, nurturing environment during those all important formative years.

Working in partnership with parents is fundamental to ensuring continuity of care between the setting and the home environment. We also acknowledge the important role you play as your child?s first and most important educators and will work closely with you in order to support your child?s learning and development so that they can achieve the best possible outcomes during their time with us.

There is space for parking and a bus stop is located just 2 minutes walk away which is served by the 63 and 363 bus routes direct to Peckham Rye station and Honor Oak Park Station is also within a short walking distance.

If the above sounds of interest to you then I can send you an parent's information pack. References are also available upon request.

Kind regards

Caroline

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
