Grans in the Park?

Recommended Posts

Just a thought after reading the 'meeting ups' from so many groups... are there any granparents+grandchildren who'd like to meet up in Peckham Rye park/playground/cafe?

I'll be there on August 4th or 5th in the afternoon.

Hi Karen,

Not many, but hope to do some weekend walks when I move down in August. Will be down and could meet up on Thurs August 6th if your mum would like that.

I have two grandaughters, one is nearly 4 and the other is 17 months old . My Mobile is 07811404157.

Many thanks

Pam

Thank you Lorraine.

I'll hopefully be in the outside bit of the Rye cafe (where the wooden tables are) on Tuesday 4th at 3pm, and Thursday 6th August at 10.00 am. If it's pouring, we'll be just inside. Love to meet any other grandparents who are around at that time.

07811404157.

Thanks

Pam

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they  are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.  Lucky car driver obey the rules the rules then. • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
