Stephen has just finished painting most of the rooms in our house. He, and his colleague Gary, are a breath of fresh air in comparison to other people we've used for our building/renovation works. He has done a fantastic job, is punctual, reliable and has a great sense of humour which was most welcome after we had been living in a building site for 3 months! I would highly recommend him.

Very surprised to see this message about another company when you haven't responded to several of my messages!

Just adding my voice to this - Stephen and Gard just decorated two bedrooms, a bathroom, and the hall for us. They did a great job and we're really lovely to have around the house. The work was done when they said it would be and for the price they said. We'll be using them again in the future.

also want to add a recommendation for Steve. He came yesterday to paint, put up some shelves, hang a mirror and sort out two curtain rails that were hanging precariously off the wall. He was quick to come round and quote, gave a reasonable price, arrived on time and was an absolute pleasure to have around. Will definitely have him back for the next job. His details are: [email protected] or 07538 601313

Another glowing review for Steve, he recently painted my living room. I really appreciated him buying all the materials since his keen eye noticed that it would be difficult for me to do so on my bicycle! Steve was punctual, professional and tidy. Top job!

Would like to add another recommendation for Steve & Gary. They done great work on decorating our flat we then asked them back to carry out further work in the communal areas for our building. I also passed their details onto a friend who was really happy with work done for them. Great work and such lovely people too, I felt totally comfortable leaving them in our home.

Steve and Gary have recently completed our hallways and staircases and did a great job. Difficult high ceilings and fiddly paintwork! They are a pleasure to have around, pleasant, punctual and worked all the hours required to do the job on time. Also their charges are very reasonable. Would definitely use them again. Thanks guys.

Steve painted the entire interior of my flat recently, including woodwork, an unexpected ceiling repair and mould treatment. He did a fantastic job at a reasonable price, was very reliable and finished the job within the timescale predicted. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Another recommendation for Steve and Gary, who completed work on our living & dining rooms, stairways, hall & all interior woodwork. Steve quoted very competitively, and they kept exactly to the estimated timescale, whilst doing a super job. Steve was brilliant to deal with and made the whole process simple with swift, clear communication throughout; he picked up all the paints once I?d chosen colours, and generally went above and beyond to minimise any disruption during the works. We would absolutely use Stephen & Gary again.

Stephen can be contacted on 07538601313.

    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
    • If you thought they were off, would it not have been a good idea to have kept them rather than throwing them away, as evidence for Environmental Health or whoever? Or indeed the shop? And do you mean this is the third time you have bought chicken from the same shop which has been off? Have you told the shop? Why did you buy it again if you have twice previously had chicken from there which was off? Have I misunderstood?
    • I found this post after we just had to throw away £14 of chicken thighs from Dugard in HH, and probably for the 3rd time. They were roasted thoroughly within an hour of purchase. But they came out of the oven smelling very woofy.  We couldn't take a single bite, they were clearly off. Pizza for dinner it is then. Very disappointing.
    • interesting read.  We're thinking about the same things for our kids in primary school as well. One thing I don't understand about Charter ED is whether they stream / set kids based on ability.  I got the impression from an open evening that it is done a little as possible. All i could find on-line was this undated letter - https://www.chartereastdulwich.org.uk/_site/data/files/users/18/documents/9473A8A3547CCCD39DBC4A55CA1678DC.pdf?pid=167 For the most part, we believe in mixed ability teaching and do not stream in Year 7 or Year 8. The only exceptions to this are that we have a small nurture class for Maths. This is a provision for students who scored lower than 85 in their SATS exams and is designed to support them to acquire the skills to access the learning in mainstream class. We do not have nurture classes for any other subjects. We take a more streamed - though not a setted - approach in Maths and Science from Year 9 onwards. though unsure if this is still accurate reflection of policy, and unsure of difference between streaming and setting.
