Advice and experience on loft conversion for storage

Hi everyone.

Have you had your loft converted for storage purposes only - i.e. boarded - not a full conversion? We are looking to do this and would like to hear your experiences, good and bad. Can't find an existing thread on here about this topic.

I had mine part boarded years ago.

Someone basically just screwed sheets of some kind of, I think, chipboard (don't want to go up and see!) over the existing insulation, presumably onto the laths? Don't know what the technical term is.

It didn't take any special expertise, you could probably do it yourself :)
