Abandoned Car, Junction of Hindmans and Tyrell Road.

Recommended Posts

There has been an abandoned Seat Ibiza left dangerously in the middle of the junction of Hindmans and Tyrell road. It has been there since last Wednesday night, so one week and counting.

The car was abandoned after an uninsured driver rear ended the back of my parked car, causing substantial damage. The female driver then reversed into another car that had stopped behind her, pulled forward and then reversed into a 3rd car parked on the other side of Tyrell rd. The police were informed last week as were the council.

The fact that this car is still sat in the middle of the road says a lot about the state of our local services, both the police and the council. The response time has been beyond pathetic, and this car has remained in the middle of a junction causing a risk to other road users.

If this car is familiar to anyone on here please contact me via PM thanks.

It has police tape on it saying "Do not attempt to move"

As I say, it's been there a week, both the council and the police have known it's there for a week. I reported it last Thursday, so has another resident. My car was hit by this car. They just can't get their shit together to get it moved.

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
