Pubs/restaurants open Christmas Day?

Thinking of eschewing the cooking this year, as we're only 3. What's open?

The Herne Tavern and EDT open for a couple of hours....

the Dog is the Crown and Greyhound in Dulwich village - not sure if Youngs pub food is what you'd be looking for though!

Trust them to run staff in to the ground...?

Hopefully staff at least get decent recompense for slogging Christmas day?

The Ivy House is open part of the day but I don't think is doing food.

However they've got an excellent new chef, so might be worth checking just in case.

The Clock House was open till at least late afternoon and was doing Christmas lunch last year. Obviously you have to book in advance.

Has anyone tried the Rye for Christmas? They have a menu for ?30/pp which seems almost too good to be true...

Ooh testing my memory. Think crab/lobster ravioli was a starter & other choices. Main was turkey, a couple of others and Tuna which was great. Cheese board, pudding. Also another little something - can't remember :) sorry.. we chose on the day. Didn't have to pre order.

Dulwich Woodhouse is open Christmas day, I went a few years ago and was a good meal.

I have been checking all the local places, pretty full up, the Plough had a table for 12 or 12:30 too early for us..

We are still looking/ hoping for Xmas day?? For lunch out, not an easy task, gotta have traditional Xmas options in there..

@Mary123, We just got a table for 3 at the Rye for 3pm, which suits us well. The Prince Regent had some space as of a couple of days ago, but we opted against as its a bit further afield and we want to waddle home. Also, not as much choice on the menu.
