twinhunters
My daughter?s boyfriend?s car window was smashed last night. Only noticed this morning at 9am, did any one see or hear anything? Or any other car break ins. Smashed two of the windows but only taken a pair of trainers from the back.
Soylent Green
Mine was also done on the same night. Again, the value of the items taken was far less than the ?75 insurance excess I had to pay to get the window fixed. Very annoying.

Vanessa3
Yep, our car also had a window smashed last Friday night- ours was parked on the corner of Felbrigg and Bawdale road.... rather surprisingly, they didn?t even bother to steal the IPod or small change from the console. Soylent Green
Advice on the police thread: Park in a well lit area as close to your property as possible. LOL - do they know what parking is like around Oglander Road? The chances of parking near your property if you return home before 6:30pm are pretty impossible. So, unless you go out and move your car after all the commuters have gone, you are stuck with your car far from home in any nook or cranny you can squeeze into. redjam
So I'm confused - are these people smashing windows for fun or are they doing it to nick stuff? One poster above said they didn't steal the iPod or small change that was left in sight. So is it just mindless vandalism?
Zig-Zag
Really sorry to all who have had their cars smashed but do hope you report them all to the police...NOT because they will be able to do anything, but because we must get crimes recorded accurately so that when allocating resources, they take this upsurge of crime into consideration.
