messageCash Point Tesco Express East Dulwich Road- don't use!

Just tried to get cash, it kept my card and apparently someone else's. Phoned bank, it's a scam, the card had already been used to attempt to withdraw cash somewhere else within half an hour.

Grrrrr - when I used cash even though you don't lose money as the bank will always reimburse immediately this infuriated me as you wanted to withdraw cash for a reason and you're left waiting for a replacement card and taking money out at the branch.

Usually happened after bank closing too.

when this happens, does the card come back out after you have walked away?

Probably best to be ready to phone your bank with your card details immediately this sort of thing happens. Here are two of the previous threads on the topic with some more details.

It's the loop scam - so they pull it out I think. If you leave your card in a normal till accidentally it'll be swallowed after a few minutes inactivity (it happened to me).

You can pause transactions from your phone on many accounts these days.

With my bank, as I discovered a few months ago, the temporary pause was only possible via their phone app.
