Annual General Meeting and election of the Management Committee
We will be holding our AGM on Monday 19th October 2020 at 7.45pm.
We do not know at the moment if we will be permitted, under Government rules, to meet at the Community Centre. If not, we will hold the meeting on line. Either way, we will do our best to involve anyone who cant attend.
At the AGM we elect committee members and officers. This year we will include postal voting, either by email or land mail.
To allow enough time for voting, nominations must be received by 5pm on Monday 12th October. Anyone who is willing to stand must have the support of 2 named eligible voters.
Who is eligible to vote?
All aged18 or over, living within the area of bounded by Lordship Lane, East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye, Dunstans road and Upland Road.
Also representatives of organisations using the Community Centre or associated with it.
Who can stand for election?
Anyone who is eligible to vote can also stand for election including existing Committee members.
Organisations using the Centre may appoint up to 2 representatives without election.
The Management Committee includes four Officers Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. These are usually elected by a second round on the night. In these special circumstances, the election will be carried out in one round. Nominees for election to the Committee are required, at the outset, to state if they are also willing to stand for as an officer and in which role.
Each candidate will make a brief electoral statement, which will be posted on the website as they are received.
As for our normal AGM, any resolutions must be received by one week before the meeting. Deadline 12th October
