Eliza Carthy & Dave Delarre + Clarke Camilleri + Brown Boots: The Goose Is Out! The Ivy House, 40 Stuart Road, SE15 3BE. Doors open 7pm. Tickets http://www.wegottickets.com/thegooseisout

Eliza Carthy surely needs no introduction! Arguably, the most impressive and engaging performer of a generation. She has previously headlined at the Goose with Saul Rose and with dad Martin. Eliza is also the winner of an unrivaled seven BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. In 2003 she became the first traditional English musician to be nominated a BBC Radio 3 Award for World Music (for Anglicana).

She has revitalised and made folk music relevant to new audiences and has captured the most hardened of dissenters with intelligent, charismatic and boundary-crossing performances.

Dave Delarre, a fine player of stringed instruments and part of Eliza?s Wayward Band, he has also headlined at the Goose back in the day as part of Mawkin:Causley.

Clarke Camilleri is a troubadour, songwriter and poet who is one of a new generation of folk who want to bring on the new with an appreciation of the old. Clarke sings with the past but writes for the present. He is also probably one of the youngest people in the country running a folk club!

Brown Boots! is Will Allen on melodeon and Martin Clarke on fiddle. Their musical background is rooted in playing music for dancing, as well as gaining inspiration from playing with their many talented musical friends at festivals and pub sessions across the country.

    • The bin outside Harris Primary School has been a spot for fly-tipping weekly. This is now a hazard for the children going to school every day - they have to walk over the rubbish to get into the school!  The rubbish has been there since Saturday, it is Tuesday 23 April today and nothing has been done! I've see a person who lives across the road dumping her house rubbish to into the bin but I believe it is not only her now but other people too! This has been reposted to Southwark Council:  https://report.southwark.gov.uk/report/5888283
    • This should be supplied by the NHS through a GP referral.  Her height and weight need to be known.  Or are you looking for a loaned one?
    • Cd be used to make fertilizer, apart from the cruelty involved must cost the schools a fortune!
    • That is horrific.  I can't even believe that this a thing.  Really what planet do these so called humans live on...    It actually says that the little fluff balls will be gassed.    It should be illegal.  At least one person took the time to read the letter.   I am shocked.
