free bike maintenance with hands-on tuition Tues Jan 7th

Recommended Posts

Lots of New Year's Resolutions seem to include taking more exercise. And lots of the advice about not abandoning them in February includes: start small. So here's small. Take the bike out of the shed and take it to Camberwell Leisure Centre to our tuition-and-fix team who will help you fix it up for spring. It's free and everyone is welcome.

The guys will be indoors at the leisure centre in Artichoke Place SE5 8TS from 6.30-8.30pm. They are friendly and knowledgeable and they don't mind dust or spiders. They carry small parts like cables but not bigger ones like brake pads, tyres or even wheels. However they can tell you what you need and most of this stuff can be purchased locally till 7pm.

The guys are all volunteers from Southwark Cyclists https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk and SC are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign https://lcc.org.uk. We campaign for more, safer, cycling in Southwark and the LCC campaign for the same thing London-wide. First step to safe cycling is a safe and comfy bike. Next step: our Healthy Rides: https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/.

You can contact us on [email protected]; tweet us @southwarkcycle or text me on 07842 640 207. I may not know the answer but I can probably find out.
