FREE - Epson xp-820 printer - needs attention - plus ink cartridges

My less than 4 year old (but well used) Epson XP-820 printer is displaying a message saying an ink pad has come to the end of its life.

It presently won't do anything at all except display this message.

Having googled, there are ways around this, both by replacing the ink pad yourself or by a software workaround, but I don't have the skill (or inclination!) to do it, and Epson charge around ?100.

If anyone would like to save this printer from landfill and see if they can get it to work, please PM me!

I will throw in a load of (compatible) ink cartridges, which as sod's law would have it I had only just bought.

They won't fit the new printer I am getting :(
