George Orwell Posted November 19, 2019 Share Posted November 19, 2019 VINTAGE ERCOL 391 WINDSOR CHAIR ?75 An original Ercol 391 All Purpose Windsor chair from around 1960. My aunt moved house and gave me this surplus chair. I remember, maybe 50 + years ago, when younger seeing it in her kitchen. The condition is very good ? it is stiff, there are no loose joints and it doesn?t wobble. It?s been used for 50 years and so does show signs of very minor scratching, a minor ding or two and faded varnish. A gently sanding and a coat of varnish/lacquer will bring it up a treat.
