    Free Trees

I got this email today and thought it might be useful for any local groups or individuals looking to make their environment greener. https://www.tcv.org.uk/communities/mayor-london-community-tree-packs
  2. Why are so many Doctors bays required? Understandable outside a GP surgery but I don?t really get the rationale for so many (when Doctors will also have Medical parking badges) An example is the junction of Worlingham and East Dulwich Road (Map 2 of the proposal) there are a strip of Doctors bats proposed which would be a long enough space for 7 cars?! No surgery is close other than Goose Green Clinic but that is just for yoga.
  3. Sounds great. Our daughter is also starting nursery so we will come along too.
  4. My daughter has been there since October 2016 when she was 2 and she?ll be moving on in a few weeks. The ladies are all so lovely and caring and it?s a relaxed environment. I chose it because it?s not swanky at all but a really caring and fun. I just wanted her to have somewhere to play with other kids. My daughter really enjoys her time there. It?s also refreshing to have a nursery/preschool that has shorter hours and only operates in term time meaning it?s not oversubscribed as it doesn?t suit most working parents and there?s no obligation to attend more than a couple of mornings a week. Happy to answer any questions you may have if you want to Pm me.
  5. Same here. My two have shared a room since the youngest was about 8 months (age gap 21 months) It?s great. They both sleep well and don?t disturb each other during the night at all. I think it helps them both to settle to sleep after a bit of a chat (youngest is now almost 2) and most mornings they wake and the older one climbs into the other ones cot and they play and sing songs together - she also gets a step from the bathroom to help her ?escape? from the cot so they can play properly in their bedroom....I love watching all of this on the monitor! They can?t wait to be big enough for bunk beds and I can?t imagine them now not sharing a room.
  6. threads on CPZ and wheelie bins blocking spaces seem popular so I thought I?d raise another one. Large motor homes parked for weeks on end (as obviously not used that regularly) parked outside living room windows blocking light and taking at least 2 parking spaces! Would a CPZ permit be charged double for such a vehicle? Pretty irritating
  7. Historical subsidence on our house. Also underpinned about 20 years ago. We have both buildings and contents insurance with Intelligent Insurance. https://www.intelligentinsurance.co.uk
  8. Are there any school nurseries that offer timings other than 5 days 9-12 or 12-3 or thereabouts. I?d prefer to have the hours over 3 days instead and have so far only found Heber that offer this (9-3 for two days and then 9-12 one day) Are there any others that will do these timings? Thanks
  9. We had a party at Barnados Triangle in Crystal Palace for my daughter when she turned 3. It's a great space with soft play and you can take your own snacks/music etc if you want.
  10. Thank you so much for coming to have a look at a Worlingham RD Robin. I'm no expert when it comes to tree types but agree that there's definitely a mix of trees that are left. Is there anything that I can do to help support this issue? Happy to lend a voice/email or whatever we can do.
  11. There have been quite a number of mature trees removed from worlingham road (and other roads too I assume?) Whilst I understand they are apparantly being removed because they are diseased - I'm concerned that they aren't being replaced. The ones removed about 6 months ago haven't been and another one went today. It's changing the look of a lovely tree lined street and also removing yet another sanctuary for wildlife. Anyone know anything about the plans for replacing them?
  12. I'd appreciate if anyone going through goose green (especially at night) could close the gate behind them rather than letting it slam shut. It's quite annoying for anyone (me) living close by.
  13. Not just irresponsible dog owners leaving the poo on pavements....I had an unpleasant incident today when my 14 month old daughter put her hand in some dog poo on goose green. Luckily I intervened before it went into her mouth (as most other things do at that age) I love dogs but it's terrible when their humans don't pick up after them.
