  1. We've used them for some time and would highly recommend. Brian is always v helpful and their cleaning staff are great.

Totally disagree. I'm 33 without any underlying conditions and ended up in hospital because of it. There were people in their 20s without underlying conditions on my ward in Kings. Thankfully I'm on the mend now but this idea that it doesn't seriously affect those under 40 is a dangerous myth
  3. My partner and I were driving down Dunstans Road yesterday (23rd Aug) from the junction at Peckham Rye... two scooters came flying down the road towards us weaving around all over the places, and then intentionally came across our side of the road driving at us and forcing us into the curb... If I was driving, I'd have been tempted to carry on and knock them off (survival of the fittest and all that), but my partner swerved into the junction with Dunstans Grove so they could pass...
  4. Hey Littlep, I can't answer definitely, but when I showed up, the guy there seemed most concerned about just making sure I had the permit. There wasn't like a full ID check or anything. I'm sure if you've got a photo ID with an address in Southwark, as well as some other form of proof of address, you'll be absolutely fine. Hope that helps!
  5. Hi again all... just updating this, popped to the RRC on Saturday in the Zipvan which was fine. The guys were really helpful, and think if you just put N/A in the box it's fine. Hope that helps anyone else!
  6. Hi Renata, Thanks! Sorry, really didn't intend for you to have to spend your time dealing with this.... Just figured I'd see if anyone had any experience/ suggestions. Any info from the RRC would be helpful though, Many thanks!
  7. Thanks so much for asking!... yeah in the end I've done what Ed says above about putting N/A on the form and just ticking the "van hire" option. It does say they need the reg in advance, but hopefully they'll see sense and not be too picky about it. Thanks for your help though- I'm heading along on Saturday so will let you know how I get on. Cheers!
  8. Cheers - yeah I guess that's a good other solution. I guess I'm just trying to keep it as affordable as possible, so I'm thinking the zipvan might be the best way to go, will just wait to see if KK hears anything at Dover St before sorting something out this evening. Would have thought it'd make sense to link the van permit to a household rather than a specific vehicle, but I guess see what they say.... thanks!
  9. Ah amazing!! If you wouldn't mind that'd be great.... thanks so much! Fred
  10. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of the new policy at the Dover Street centre for van bookings? I need to hire a van to take some really broken old furniture to the site next weekend and I'm trying to apply for a permit online (apparently I'm required to do it 3 days in advance). Frustratingly though, it won't let you proceed without the van's registration plate... obviously save for a few lucky people with access to a van for residential waste, I would guess most people using this are going to hire vans, and you obviously don't know the reg until you collect the vehicle (I've called Enterprise and they've confirmed this). My other option is to walk over to a Zipvan site and hope that I'm able to reserve the specific van for the time I can get at the RRC, but it doesn't really seem a great solution. Just wondering if anyone else had found another way around it? Thanks! Fred
