  1. Greg did a fantastic job for me. Supplied and installed one new radiator. Fixed another that I'd almost given up on and fixed another leaky radiator that was on the way to damaging my hardwood floor. He works neatly - always cleans up properly, and is a genuinely nice guy. Very easy to get on with. Will definitely be using him again. When I said "new" plumber, I've known him many years but only recently found out he's a qualified plumber. Very happy to pass on his number: 07955656941
  2. Did anyone find a vintage silver bracelet that was lost on Dunstans Road on Saturday 20th November? I would be so grateful if you could Private Message me on here. It has great sentimental value and I appreciate anyone on the road keeping an eye out. Thanks so much Trinh
  3. Had to come back on here to praise Greg some more. He's just finished a real variety of jobs for me - some tiling in kitchen, rehanging doors and changing locks, assembling furniture and a bit of painting. Every single job was done to the same fantastic standard. I'm so pleased. It's a relief to know that I can call on him to tackle such a variety of jobs and I know it's going to get done properly. And to those who haven't used him yet - he is someone you can totally trust, has very high standards and is a nice guy too.
  4. I'm putting this up for my friend who had been talking to a man with a dog - he was a rescue pup from Greece. The dog's name is Ray. This was in the park. After the conversation my friend found something which she thinks belongs to this man and she kept looking out for him again but hasn't seen him. This was the end of last year. She doesn't know the owner's name. If the owner reads this or anyone knows the man who has a rescue dog from Greece called Ray, can you please text my friend and tell her what it is so she can return it to proper owner. Text to M on 07542 226185 Thanks
  5. A piece of mail, with no return address, came to my house for Anna & Gary Williams. It had my address except for the postcode. The sender had put 0HD and I am 0HE. If this is you or you know these people please PM me. Thanks
  6. I think I may have started this thread way back when Greg did such an amazing job restoring and painting my rotten old windows and front door. I'm coming back on here today just to let people know again that he really is a great professional allround craftsman - he has just put together an Ikea set of drawers in some kind of record time. He also has just finished doing my upstairs neighbours hallway, living room etc for the second time so that speaks for itself. Anyone looking for someone they can trust to do a high quality job in a whole range of skills - painting, maintenance, furniture assembly all handyman jobs, you really can do no better than Greg. His phone number is 07955 656941.
  7. ok well believe it or not i just went outside and he/she rolled over and let me have a proper look at her collar which has a blue disc on and an address 35 Dunstans Road - there waa a phone number but she was so wriggly i couldnt get it. Anyhoo - sorry to the folks at 35 if you read this and please know that I'm super soppy about animals. Your kitty is so super friendly - what a delight!!
  8. Ive been contemplating doing this for a couple of weeks but I am just going to risk being told to stop fussing. There is a lovely little black and white cat with an animal print collar who is always and i do mean always around the oorner of Dunstans and Goodrich - sometimes in a doorway on the school side and sometimes across the road. I see him/her outside in all weather - the other day he/she was absolutely soaked when it rained heavy - no idea why he didnt shelter because he's often in my porch or my neighbours. He seems thin but as someone whose kitty is a bit on the plump side, i guess im not the best judge lol. All i'm looking for i guess is for someone to let me know he has a home - maybe just likes being outdoors all the time but is okay. Please be gentle telling me to stop worrying - i just dont want to be one of those people who in retrospect says "oh i wish I had done something".
  9. Hi - I am going to try - bumped into my neighbour who said he has noticed him at crack of dawn when hes going to work and real late at night too - tonight he was outside mine and was soaking wet - weird cos i know he must be able to shelter some place but i dried him quickly. he's so damn soppy - seems just to be wanting contact and affection - i cant figure out why he is out in the rain - i never met a cat who would choose rain over indoors. Anyway, im keeping my eye on him and will try snap him asap
  10. could well be - i have a kitty who, if she could, would literally be velcroed to my side 24/7 so that's really all my experience - yeah, you could well be right
  11. Hey guys - i am absolutely not sure where to post this but.... there is a gorgeous black and white cat, with a collar and bell, who has been around outside for a while now. Moatly on the corner of Dunstans and Goodrich - so, so friendly, comes running over and rolling on back to get tummy tickled. Thing is, he/she is around all the time - I saw him today early morning and ive just been to put recycling out (1am)and he ran up to me, tried to get into my flat - i would be tempted but my kitty says NO lol - i guess i just need to find out if he/she has a home and not missing cos of the hours thst i see him. He is an absolute darling and his coat looks healthy but he's just out on the street all the time so wanted to check. Thanks.
  12. Dr McColl has been my doctor for years and I cant get any information about her 'extended leave'. I really hope she is okay and will be back soon, she is sorely missed. I hope if anyone finds out anything they will post it
  13. Please will you look in your shed or gardens in case my cat Tigger has got herself in somewhere and cant get out. She has been missing since around 5pm yesterday and she has never ever stayed out all night before and never usually goes far - by that I mean she has never been away from home long enough. She is very timid and a few days ago got a tail injury from another cat who went for her but she was back to her normal routine and yesterday the only thing that made her go outside more was i had a plumber here all day and she got fed up with the noise. She never goes out the front. I live on dunstans road right near the junction with goodrich. Ive attached 2 picture - she looks deceptively slim in them as she is a big girl. Please please just check she hasnt got herself stuck somewhere in/around your property - Im so worried, she never stays out. http://imgur.com/WpCZgGf http://imgur.com/DJIFYoh I am beyond happy to report that i found Tigger - heard her crying under the floorboards, lifted a hatch and there she was. She is fine, ate a big bowl of food and is currently snuggled and sleeping. That was a truly horrible time not knowing where she was
