  1. That extending the event beyond 3 days is not just what Gala asked for at Peckham Rye, but also what already happens at other parks in London used for similar events. The facts are exactly opposite to your misinformed, angry waffle... ...buddy. 🤣
  2. Birdhouse Brewing has opened up in the space formerly occupied by Canopy Brew Co, in the railway arches behind Norwood Rd. Cocktails, street food and DJs. Can do a little craft brew pub crawl with that and Bullfinch Brewery and the little wine bar under the bridge at the top of Half Moon Lane now... www.birdhousebrewing.com, I think
  3. No. After a while, they take the bin back.
  4. 1) that's exactly what Gala Festival was asking for at Peckham Rye 2) that's exactly what happens at Brockwell Park and Finsbury Park already You don't know what you're on about, pal https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/news/this-year-is-the-worst-it-has-been-residents-near-brockwell-park-hit-out-at-festival-noise-levels/ https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2018/jul/08/parks-festivals-gigs-councils-local-authorities-open-spaces-spending-cuts-music-summer
  5. Oh come off it. The punters are fenced in for the duration of the event. You're talking about "footfall in the area" but that's the 2 minutes between them arriving in the morning and staggering home in the evening after 12 hours of cider and adulterated cocaine.
  6. Maybe. How much profit does the Council make from it? We don't know. What would be a fair price to put on the environmental degradation of thousands of small pieces of plastic, cigarette butts, zip ties...?
  7. No, I used to use Acre Lane Tyres, which is 12 minutes drive from East Dulwich according to Google maps.
  8. It's true. Drivers will now have to travel as far as...about 150 feet to the huge Kwik-Fit across the road if they want to get tyres fitted.
  9. This is a weird complaint. I'm not sure if you're the same person who made it last time there is a similar bus diversion. Councillors can't just spend all their time posting on forums about anything that vaguely relates to their constituency even if it doesn't relate to their responsibilities. Their access to bus stop closure information (!) is just the same as yours. This is a TfL question and they're the only ones able to publish reliable information. Besides, if your point is that OAPs don't have iPhones to access the TfL information, how would they be accessing the East Dulwich Forum? (All the OAPs I know are constantly on Facebook anyway...) https://tfl.gov.uk/bus/route/p13/
  10. That's about what cargo ebikes cost. The motor and the battery are both amazing pieces of technology, but they don't come cheap. No-one looks twice at a £4000 car...
  11. By chance, I came across the story below. Admittedly there are 1 or 2 other things going on in the same story... https://www.riverfronttimes.com/news/swat-team-raids-innocent-family-over-stolen-airpods-dropped-on-their-street-42172867
  12. The Burgess Park one referred to above is probablt Steptoe & Son. I've never been in. https://maps.app.goo.gl/RDNWA6vCifkTsdqg9
  13. I just got a leaflet from Susan Hall. She's going all in on being anti-ULEZ and anti-LTN (a bold strategy considering when the local Tories tried to turn the last local election into a referendum on LTNs, they got pumped) and minimising any mention that she's a Conservative (the word "Conservative" appears once on the leaflet, which may be a clue that their brand is more toxic than a 20 year old diesel engine...).
  14. ...by the /London subreddit (forum) on Reddit, anyway.
