  1. I would advise to avoid Virgin. We had problems with them in the past and now can't find a way to leave. We are moving our house and phoned them up to cancel the contract, but later found out that they didn't actually do it. Having have to call them each year to re-negotiate the contract is a horrible experience, as they try to trick you all the time. Most of the people I spoke to seem to follow the same pattern: ignore what you told them and keep selling you things, at times being rude or arogant. A friend of mine left them years ago and they keep sending her junk mail all the time. She asked them to stop several times and they just ignored her.
  2. Hello, I thought I'd share this here, as a lot of migrant voters are still not aware that they might be allowed to vote in the upcoming general elections. To vote in a UK general election a person must be registered to vote and also: - 18 or over - be a British citizen, a qualifying Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland - not be subject to any legal incapacity to vote Before you can vote, you must first register to vote. The process is simple and usually only takes 5 minutes.I The easiest is to register online. Go to: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. The deadline is 26 November 2019. You can also register directly with your local electoral registration office. To find your local electoral registration office, and contact them directly, go to: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/register-to-vote/find-your-local-authority.
