  1. I live on East Dulwich Grove and have been hearing what sounds a bit like a female Tawny owl (but not 100%) for the last week or so. It seems to have taken up residence in the gardens that run between Glengarry and Thorncombe Road. Has anyone else heard or know what it might be?

Squiggles, I didn't realise they had actually reduced services from Herne Hill too. That's beyond a joke. I now avoid getting the train from Herne Hill to Farringdon wherever possible at rush hour (choosing to walk further to Denmark Hill instead) because of the amount of times I've been unable to actually get on the train - the 8.32 being a particular pain point...
  3. Looking at Monday 21st, there now also seems to only be one direct train running from Denmark Hill to Farringdon between 8-9am (at 8.37) whereas there used to be five - 8.04, 8.19, 8.26, 8.39, 8.45. Surely this is going to cause problems as the 8.26 I used to catch was often near full as it was. Does anyone know anything more about this? But putting that to one side, I'm pleased you successfully managed to get more, much needed trains on your line!
  4. Can anyone recommend somebody reliable? We're looking for someone to do two hours every fortnight. Thanks!
  5. Hi ISLA_C, I got them from the first page of this thread.
  6. Another recommendation for Aston, he was easy to communicate with, reliable, reasonably priced and honest. Plus his work was good. Will definitely be using Aston again!
  7. Had a very prompt response off Chris and he's assured me they are doing all they can to put a stop to it (and that it won't be happening again). Does seem to have quietened down for now...
  8. Also on East Dulwich Grove, trying to work and the noise is unreal! Have emailed Chris at DHFC...
  9. Redjam, I think he might just be checking plans for community 5-a-side leagues to be held at evenings and weekends on the pitches rather than being surprised that a school is being built or begrudging the students from using the facilities. I understand that the pitches will be floodlit and open to use by the community but this will have to remain within light pollution regulations and have a curfew. I would like to know when that curfew is, i.e. there's a big difference between matches going on until 10pm vs. 8pm. Does anyone know anything about this or how it might be decided?
