@Charlotte KSB Hi there, afraid I don't have one to sell, but you should check out the Facebook groups "The original buggy runners//active with kids" and "Running with buggies" - as lots of information and opportunities to buy/sell on those. We got two running buggies off those groups and have been very pleased with them.

We lived there for 5 years and mostly loved it. Great location, very handy for trains/shops. Cheaper prices than period property ED. The only downsides for us were some of the street muggings as mentioned above, but these sadly happen all over East Dulwich (especially around Lordship Lane/the station) so I don't think it's anything unique to St Francis Road. I just wouldn't have my phone out walking around most parts of London anyway.

Cycling on Green dale for school run - safe or not?
HelloDulwich replied to Suggsy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We've seen a big increase in muggings on Greendale and the surrounding roads. I stopped feeling safe walking through there with my children and would never walk through there holding my phone. A real shame as it is a good cut through. Even in the middle of the day I have witnessed teenagers and young people circling wearing balaclavas looking for unsuspecting victims. We have seen a real rise in antisocial behaviour around there since the pandemic. -
We also have a child at EDG and she is very happy there.

We have a Bugaboo Bee and it's been a really good choice for us. Not quite as lightweight/compact at the Yoyo but has parent or world facing options at all stages and felt a sturdier buggy to us. Has been very versatile now we also have a newborn and a toddler. Surprisingly decent sized basket underneath too :) Good luck with your choice!

Teenagers throwing fireworks in east dulwich rd
HelloDulwich replied to suzplum's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We also saw them throwing fireworks on St Francis Road and reported it to the police. It appears to be the same teenagers who are riding Boris and Lime bikes and wearing balaclavas/face masks. -
This morning around 9:15am I saw a woman with short hair walking two westie type dogs in the fenced off section of Peckham Rye, where it states on the gates that no dogs are allowed. I politely asked her if she knew that the area was a "no dog zone", thinking she might somehow have missed all the signs on the gates, to which she replied "I'm aware". I tried to ask her why she was walking her dogs in the fenced off area when she had the rest of the park to enjoy, but she became verbally aggressive towards me, including taunting me about being pregnant and going into early labour, which was completely unnecessary and upsetting. She also claimed that she could prevent her dogs toileting in that area, which I don't believe is possible. I am a dog lover myself, but purposefully take my young toddler to that fenced off "no dog" area so that they can run around holding snacks/balls etc without coming into contact with dogs. I also want to avoid dog mess in that area. I am reporting to the park warden and am posting in the hope no one else experiences the same, or if they do to inform you that you can also report it to the park office.

Best place to get baby's first shoes?
HelloDulwich replied to HelloDulwich's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thank you for your reply - baby is standing and starting to take a few steps but I see from your comment probably not quite ready. We will wait until walking properly and then check out some of these recommendations - thank you for all the responses. -
Would be very grateful for any recommendations of good places locally to get babies fitted for their first shoes. Preferably not crazily expensive! Thank you very much!

Hello, We would be very grateful if anyone can advise us where we can dispose of some astro turf from our garden. We can't currently access the Southwark Council website for some reason and are unable to work out where we can appropriately dispose of it. Many thanks for any advice!
