  1. I returned from Spain on Tuesday and I have some things to say about this situation.... Spain definitely opened their borders to tourism way early. 48 hours prior to flying we had to fill in a form from the health department in Spain with all our information as well as where we were staying and our seat number on the plane in case someone had symptoms during their stay there, everyone could be contacted about it and self isolate(It happened to a friend that travelled from Madrid to the Canary islands, She was immediately contacted and is doing updates as well as will do a test too). When we got on the Plane people took their masks off even when the captain was saying not to do it. People started getting drunk and a Woman who was talking to her friends in front of us was fiddling with her teeth and after taking her fingers out of her mouth she touched many seats. Not being funny here though Spain implemented pretty much straight away that masks should be worn when travelling, going to shops etc and UK did that on the 24th of this month... Once we got to the airport we had to have our form with us to be checked again, they took our temperature and we had to walk through two cameras before getting an approval and being able to leave the airport. On our way back, just two days after Uk implemented the quarantine the plane had less people and by how people were talking to each other most of them were Spanish. The plane was chilled and people had their masks on all the time. Upon our arrival we thought we would have a wait like in Spain as checking everyone would take time and to our surprise no one was there to check anything with us. After passport control we just went out for the bus. No one asked for any information and no one was there to instruct anything. We did our forms when we got home as we know how important this is though I doubt everyone is doing it... So, yes, Spain is having a second spike though they have everyone more controlled to act when necessary and the Uk is nowhere near. Yes, a quarantine has been implemented but I doubt everyone will follow it. No one is checking who is arriving, no one is getting details, no one is making sure this is happening. Seeing how this is and that France and Germany are not great either I wonder if this is actually because of the virus or if in fact it is a political move regarding Brexit. France had more new cases than Spain 4 days Ago, and Germany is going the same way however no quarantine for them?
  2. Mine has not given any problems. We thought we would have problems during lockdown too though it has been up and running fantastically.
  3. I have been living in the area for nearly 4 years now, I live in barry road, 1 min away from Peckham rye and sky has never given me problems and we are pretty much (three of us) connected to internet all day. only once one year ago internet went down for half a day and we got a credit added to our account.
  4. Hey Katesonic, We get that you don?t like the place now however there is non need of spreading false information around, you should have done some more research instead of just posting a thread like this. It?s very disappointing to see people post like this just because a place doesn?t please them... Anywhoos, peace and love ✌️
  5. Thank you! Tried them but they said they don?t have it 😔
  6. Long shot but lost my grandmothers wedding ring (was a gift my grandma made me for my wedding as I don?t own amything from my grandfather) on Monday night. I think it was on the 197 to Croydon. Just posting here to see if there is any luck :( The inscription says Alain to Minnie 16/5/1060

Shut on Mondays. Shut > on Tuesdays... > > If you have to pay high rents and rates then you > need to stay open to make any business work. That is not true at all. The rent can be high but if the business is not working and you don't make money on certain days sometimes is worth closing that day. Paying staff to keep the place open when you don't make money is a solution, all the money you are paying your employees to be there can be saved. I know it doesn't sound good but it works, this way you are just loosing money on rent. Some places open just on certain days because that is when they make money and they gain enough to cover rent, pay their staff for those two days and get some profit. If they were to open everyday they probably wouldn't be able to pay rent nor their staff. Just a genuine question, do you have or work in a hospitality business? If so, if this happened to you, would you not consider doing this? what would you do instead?
  8. Aneto cafe has a separate area they hire. I think they mostly use it for yoga clases and think they have a mirrored wall
  9. El pastor in London Bridge has good and tasty options but its always busy! Mildreds is great, they even have real nice desserts and there are spread across london, Voodoo Rays Peckham has room and good vegan options, The rye pub has vegan options too and have a cute lil restaurant area

  12. I LOVE this place!!! Love the Kebabs (something I missed a LOT) and the "chickn vurger" AMAZING!! And of course, the churros!! They are tasty... Have any of you tried the "no bull" burguers from iceland? they are 2 pounds and are pretty awesome, pretty similar to the ones from this take away place, everytime I go up to peckham i make sure i grab a few boxes and keep them in the freezer for those days we fancy dirty food! I think it's a MUST to try!
