  1. What do people think about finding this food locally? I have converted to non-dairy and non-meat and am finding it challenging. There is not a lot of restaurant or cafe catering, aside of Indian or Chinese, which aren't that healthy or wholefood. Blue Brick seems ok but a bit chaotic and old-fashioned IMHO. They don't take cards and run out of the menu! Where else do vegans eat? Also which food shops are best, aside of Sainsbury's? All advice gratefully received.
  2. Have you tried Lily in Peckham Rye? She has loads of experience and a loyal customer base. I know she specialises in wedding hair and could probably recommend for the makeup. http://www.lilyshair.co.uk/ Good luck. I think she might be on the EDF as well as Nextdoor.
  3. You could contact Lily mobile hair as she is local and very good. http://www.lilyshair.co.uk/ Best of luck.
  4. There's a great DIY man called Graham who is in East Dulwich. I can send you his nos. He is retired and does lots of handy man stuff
  5. My research on this subject shows that hypnosis could be by far your best route forward. It would only take a few sessions at most probably. There are lots of qualified hypnotherapists in the vicinity. I think there is a therapist called Becky who advertises in SE22. Good luck.
  6. I asked in what was ToastEd now Terroir as they have a nice large party space in one half. The fee is ?1,000 minimum spend for the whole space for an evening. It might be negotiable. I know the Half Moon has a lovely room in their back garden too. Good luck.
  7. Can anyone recommend a good value and effective plasterer to skim over old woodchip paper in 3 rooms and a large hallway in a local flat please? The hallway is over 3 flights of stairs with high ceilings. The rooms are standard height and smallish. Access is flexible and materials can be supplied. Thank you
  8. I have sent you a PM with some questions. Look forward to hearing. M
  9. Welcome back to your patch. Can you confirm your rates pls? How much for a trim and blow dry? Thank you.
  10. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced local venue for a boy's 18th party? It is in late Sept and will be for approx 30 people (mostly 17). They would like music and dancing, no food as such, but not alcohol. It would be great to have suggestions, probably for a Sat eve or a Sun lunch. Thank you in advance.
  11. You can try Christian at Respect your Elders. https://www.facebook.com/respectyourelderstreesurgeon/ He is very good and done a lot locally. Good luck.
  12. Hi I have heard that Respect your Elders are very good, and they do a lot of local tree work. I think the guy is called Christia. There is a Feacebook page https://www.facebook.com/respectyourelderstreesurgeon/ good luck. :)
  13. Hi the RHS has fantastic free advice online - covering all aspects of plants. This is the section on Jasmine. Good luck with training your unruly climbers! https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/popular/jasmine/growing-guide
  14. I would recommend visiting and talking to a few of the local garden centres. They all have good knowledgeable staff and carry wide ranges of different composts. You need diff types for diff jobs. They can also deliver for a small cost, if you are local. There are centres in North Dulwich by the station, Park Hall Road by the traffic lights before Tesco, Nunhead by the station, and behind the supermarket at the top of Crystal Palace. This aside, I would suggest you look into creating your own compost system for the future. It makes so much sense practically and environmentally. New hot box systems are small and quick. The RHS site has lots of advice.
