  1. I was exiting the ED PictureHouse recently. I held the door open for a couple coming in with at least one buggy (can't remember if it was more than that). They breezed past me without even looking at me or acknowledging me or thanking in me in any way. Standard operating procedure on LL?
  2. Another recommendation for Niko. He sorted out our bathroom and kitchen taps. Great guy, does the job, doesn't charge a fortune.
  3. Has anyone heard from Niko the plumber recently? He did some work for us ages ago, and we still owe him some money (!)
  4. Go for it. The lamp-post chargers are slow, but they are very reliable, in my year-and-a-bit of experience. The char:gy app works fine once you've registered with it. You will soon get into the habit of charging overnight if that suits, or poddling around ED looking for available chargers! I never had much luck with Source London, and cancelled my card with them. There is a rapid charger at the Tessa Jowell medical centre. No doubt there are others, too. apbremer - there's loads of information out there about the effects of weather on range and performance. Bad weather definitely reduces your range, but has had no effect on my car's performance whatsoever.
  5. Whereabouts are you? There are quite a few lamp-post chargers around. In my experience the one in my street has always worked. Also a lot of faster charging points, e.g. at Sainsbury's Forest Hill. I have never got the "free" ones at Sainsbury's DKH to work for me. There is a rapid-charger (Osprey) at Tessa Jowell Health Centre. I have used this once, but since then it has been faulty, for me at least.
  6. Anyone know what it's like in the evneings? Also - if you are clicking and collecting your Sainsbury's grocery order, do you have to queue? Thanks!
  7. Anyone know VICTORIA HUTCHINGS? We have had mis-delivered to us a parcel for her. The delivery company don't seem to care, and we've got better things to do than take it the post office and try and return to sender. PM me and we can try and get it to the person who actually wants it. Merry Christmas!
  8. Due to popular demand, our quiz will now be every fortnight! Join us on Oct 9th at eight PM to test who knows their Hitchcock from their Herzog, their Lucas from their Lynch, and their Miyazaki from their Malick. Featuring pictures, music and a few surprises, there's something for everyone, no matter what your level of film knowledge! And with all the money taken on the door going to our 2019 charity partner Refuge - an amazing charity who support more than 6,000 clients daily, helping them rebuild their lives and overcome many different forms of violence and abuse - you'll be doing some good while having some fun. Max teams of 6, ?2 per person.
  9. Our quiz returns this Wednesday, 25th September at eight PM for another night of movie trivia, with all the money raised going to our charity partner, Refuge. And for all you swatters out there, make sure to brush up on your Hitchcock!
  10. This Wednesday night, August 28th, eight PM Our quiz is back this week for another round of movie trivia! Join us on Wednesday night where we'll be raising more money for our charity partner Refuge. And, in celebration of our Sunday screening of the awesome Magnolia, we're having a whole round on Paul Thomas Anderson!
  11. "someone should remind the speeding cyclists....I'm dreading the new 'healthy streets'." Me too. I much prefer tons of metal zooming up and down, emitting toxic fumes, destroying the environment, using up the earth's finite resources, killing our children, shortening all our lives. God, yes, give me that instead of "healthy streets" any day of the week. "Healthy streets"? Do me a favour.
  12. Seconded. Excellent place. Bring your own booze.
  13. Polite notice: pointing out the error in "the car appears to of mounted the pavement" is not "pedantry".
  14. The EDPH film quiz is a horror-themed special this month. October 24th at 7.30. Lots of great prizes on offer, as always.
